over writting

I was just typing and made a mistake and after I fixed it, I started again and the new input was over writting text left after the fix. I hate over writting (or whatever it’s called). Can it be shut off like you can with Words? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That’s actually a feature of your keyboard, not our program. If it is writing over your text, rather than inserting, press the “Insert” key on your keyboard, and it will go back to inserting text instead of replacing it.
